The Best Dysfunctional Family

Marcy and I met the Eichelbergers last year.  We photographed their daughter’s wedding last April.  After she was married, her new husband was stationed in England and they both left before May.  It’s hard to believe a year has passed since then, but the newlyweds are still together and doing well.  Mrs. Eichelberger called me to let us know that the kids were coming home for a visit and she wanted a family portrait.  Of course we were happy and honored with request.

We showed up at the beach early Saturday morning and not only did we have the Eichelbergers to photograph, but their new extended family the Grootaert’s, were there as well.  We had such a great time.  While the Eichelbergers claim they are a dysfunctional family, they are also one of the most loving and funnest families we’ve ever had the pleasure of working with.

We’ve now photographed a wedding and a family portrait.  We’re expecting to photograph some little ones next!  Our prayers and blessings go out to the wonderful Eichelberger and Grootaert family. View the slideshow of their session after the jump!
