Air, Space and Beyond

On the same day we had our shoot with Beth in the freezing cold, we got together with some photographer friends in the evening to shoot in downtown Hampton. As if I didn’t have enough of the cold down at the river that morning I just had to go back into it that evening. Well I played it a bit smarter. I shot for about a half hour and spent the rest of the time in the confines of a nice coffee shop about a block away enjoying a nice white chocolate mocha. Yum! I didn’t take many shots but I did manage to walk away with this one. This shot was actually created from two exposures and then blended to get the rich dynamic range of colors. I have to thank my good photographer friend Will King for showing me this technique. Will has some of the most beautiful landscape photography you’ll ever see and it doesn’t stop there! He also shoots sports, portraits, weddings and more. Be sure to check out his work at www.willkingphotography.com.

on March 6th, 2009Very Very Nice Mark! You might take a second look at the top of the building….looks like a smidgen of haloing. Great composition. Love the lens flare in the shot.
